Hse Training Specialist Jobs

Post-secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or equivalent business/clinical experience (ex. Nurse Educator)

Collect feedback from trainees in class and communicate that information to the Training Coordinators and Training Manager

Administer post-live, refresher, optimization, and skills-enhancement training

Experience in a health care/public sector preferred

Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel) and SharePoint

Some working knowledge and understanding of learning platforms and LMS

Analyze TacComms System SM training requirements

Determine TacComms System SM training needs requirement

Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Windows 7 applications

Design and develop TacComms System SM training documents to reflect software release changes

Amend existing TacComms System SM training documents to reflect software release changes

Develop technical supplements for dissemination

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Competencies, Experience, Skills & Attributes

Expert knowledge and competency in the safe use of portable nuclear gauges

Working knowledge of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission and governing regulations.

Great networking skills, able to work at multiple levels of the organization, from field team members to Senior Leadership.

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Bachelor’s degree of higher in Occupational Safety, Health Safety and Environmental Management, Social Sciences or related field

Will serve as a technical resource by providing guidance and assistance to ensure compliance HSE requirements

5+ years of Oil & Gas or Construction HSE experience

7+ years of HSE experience in Oil & Gas or Construction

Exceptional leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills

Professional working experience in and understanding of construction safety regulations and their applicability to upstream oil and gas operations

Resolve end user IT issues efficiently and effectively through existing knowledge, experience, or research; escalate the issue as required

Develop training and instructional materials, screencasts, and documentation for end users to reference

Be willing to travel to SIIT's various locations to provide support and face-to-face training

Receive, act upon, and document IT Help Desk tickets as required

Install, configure, and maintain workstations, mobile devices, and software

Contribute to SIIT's strategic effectiveness by representing and participating on internal and external committees, as required

Develop and implement learning resources such as Learning Management System, train-the-trainer program and external content.

Partner with subject-matter experts to ensure the training content reflects day-to-day requirements.

Facilitate and coordinate training, including scheduling and sending invitations to participants.

Develop and update metrics to provide transparency on attendance, progression of participants, results and challenges.

Formal Education, Experience and Certifications Required:

Post-secondary education and training in a related field; or combined relevant training experience and education

Knowledge of or experience in the Aviation industry an asset

Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and collaboration skills.

Effective coaching and presentation skills

Ad-hoc duties/projects as required by the Training and Performance Manager.

Strong organizational and time management skills

Degree or diploma in adult education, human resources, health and safety, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent

Experience in a post-secondary education an asset

Manages the design, development and inventory of HSE training courses and plans. Coordinates the preparation of training materials and resources.

Recognized certification (e.g. CTDP, CHRP, CRSP, ROH, EP, CCPE, CRST) is an asset

Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience using eLearning application/development tools and software

Positive relationship building and management skills

Assist Supervisors and Managers with the application of the HSE system requirements.

Strong communication skills - experience in training, giving presentations and writing reports.

Maintain contractor lists and qualification.

Minimum 3 years of Health and Safety experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastic industry.

Must be adaptable and able to gain knowledge required to perform functions in a professional manner.

ISO 45001, ISO 14001, COR knowledge. Experience in certification and maintaining certification preferred.

Maintain a Health and Safety Management System in conformance to ISO45001 standards and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Perform Management of Change as required.

Maintain Environmental Management System in conformance to ISO14001 standards and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Participate in the management and coordination of HSE projects as needed.

College Diploma in Health & Safety or demonstrated equivalent education and experience.

Experience with leading capabilities workshops is required.

Represent the LND team in meetings, provide recommendations, schedule meetings, send communications, manage onboarding logistics, etc.

Clear and Engaging presentation and facilitation skills is required.

Experience with virtual production of workshops (polls, breakout rooms, surveys) is required.

Formal training in Instructional Design, with a minimum of 5-year work-related experience is required.

Experience working in a cross-functional team environment is required.

Review incident management system cases related to EPIC /Beaker errors to identify potential training gaps.

Knowledge of adult education principles and practices an asset

Maintains up-to-date technical skills and knowledge of current methodologies and instrumentation within the laboratory field

Exceptional verbal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills

Excellent organizational and planning skills

Intermediate to advanced computer skills

Directs, supervises and evaluates work of Co-Op/Student resources and assigns work as required to complete deliverables

Curates and/or modifies existing content and various source materials for different learning styles.

- Captures and reports on key learning outcomes and lessons learned.

Initiates innovative and creative solutions to meet the learning and program delivery goals and objectives of IRP Student.

Extensive knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) enabling you to define, develop and maintain the platform

5 years of experience with learning management systems and training content creation software.

Manage the entire training process, including planning, coordinating and delivering training sessions.

Define, develop and maintain training data tracking to ensure regulatory compliance and meet reporting requirements.

Promote the tools available, continuously improve the employee experience and stimulate their participation in training activities.

5 years of previous professional experience in coordination and development of training programs

Ensure mandatory and job specific training is completed and advise HR Generalist, plant/operations management

Teaching and/or HSE Management Certificate (an asset)

Working knowledge of employment regulations requirements, (ie. ESA, Human Rights, Privacy Act, etc.)

Working knowledge of applicable Health and Safety Standards requirements (eg. OHSA, CSA, ANSI, NIOSH, etc.)
