Facilities Maintenance Assistant Jobs

Provide local market feedback to management to minimize competitive threat, retain customers, and increase revenue

Proactively engage existing customers to increase their utilization of ATCO Facility Solutions’ core service offerings of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance

Must have experience and familiarity in estimating plumbing, HVAC AND/OR electrician maintenance services either in a sales and/or trades specific capacity.

5 years of proven ability in a similar/related role, including sales and/or trades experience

Skills to learn and work alongside a like-minded team

Excellent analytical and research skills, and the initiative to make cold calls to prospective new clients

2 - 3 years of management or leadership experience.

Maintain records and prepare reports for management review, including work orders, staffing reports and audits.

Experience with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), landscaping, HVAC and electrical systems.

Supervise the daily activities of multi-disciplinary teams including maintenance, security, grounds and custodial workers.

Schedule and assign duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating / ventilating, roofing and security.

Routinely inspect buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair and respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.

Maintain University’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Proven working experience as a Janitor

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organizational abilities

High level of proficiency in English, including strong written and verbal skills

Consolidate and verify individual records

Validate and correct records with end users

Obtain end user agreement document and signatures

GFMS Account audit and verification

Verify content of all GFMS keysets and record

Update account information and or close inactive accounts

· Software knowledge including: MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Internet, and Case Management Software

· Superior organizational/document management skills with a strong attention to detail

· Liaise with building management regarding maintenance, security cards and parking

· Ability to manage work responsibilities in an unstructured environment

· Manage file closing procedures and closed file storage

· Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service focus

Utilize the computerized maintenance management system to maintain inventory of equipment and schedule maintenance.

2-3+ years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, conveyor, automation, & MHE maintenance

1+ year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles

Knowledge of lock out tag out procedures.

Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and basic computer skills

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Experience/Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered an asset:

Basic Building Repair & Maintenance skills

Knowledge & ability to operate basic power tools

Good communication & inter-personal skills

Experience working in Facilities and Instrument repair is preferred

Attending regular meetings with Facilities Manager where Facilities Management is a required participant

All other duties as reasonably directed by management

Provide competent direction and management of all third party vendor personnel working in the building in a Facilities capacity

Assist the Facilities Manager in Organizing/streamlining Facilities, HSE and Security activities to the overall operational and cost benefit of the company

Leaf the delivery and execution of any Facilities-assigned work orders as assigned by the Facilities Manager

Assist the Facilities Manager in ensuring that all Facility, HSE and Security Processes and Procedures are communicated, understood and adhered to

· Attending regular meetings with Facilities Manager where Facilities Management is a required participant

· All other duties as reasonably directed by management

· Leaf the delivery and execution of any Facilities-assigned work orders as assigned by the Facilities Manager

· Along with wider Facilities department, On-call 24/7 for all after-hours emergencies (black-outs, shutdowns, etc.)

Facilities Maintenance Duties and Responsibilities:

·Assisting the Facilities Manager in various construction projects and maintenance of infrastructure throughout the sanctuary.

·Demonstrate extensive knowledge of our facility and related topics

·Significant work experience in outdoor maintenance and operating various landscaping tools

·Passion for learning and willingness to continue to acquire relevant knowledge

·Previous kennel or animal care experience will be considered an asset
