Responsible for the training and development of the machine operating staff and the process education of the Shift Supervisors.

Excellent technical skills and knowledge of process related standards.

Working knowledge of process engineering software packages along with experience using CAD or AutoCad.

Excellent computer skills. CMMS experience an asset.

The primary responsibilities, expectations, and qualifications of this role are outlined below.

Specify major equipment, select valves and instruments, specify piping requirements

Enlist, support and manage subcontracts and vendors

Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer in Ontario with solid knowledge of engineering codes and standards

Experience in the design of sanitary process systems including piping, vessels and skidded systems

Participate regularly in project meetings with the client and the project team, demonstrating technical and project management skills.

Work with project managers to ensure that the projects meet with the budget and schedule as well as quality.

Analyze client technical specifications and requirements in terms of engineering principles and technology requirements.

Generate, review, and take responsibility for contract documents and specifications primarily as they relate to process mechanical requirements.

Perform and display responsibilities for other related activities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

7 to 10 years’ experience specializing in wastewater treatment process mechanical design.

Postsecondary education in engineering/technical field, min 2 years’ experience

Perform Internal Audit on business and manufacturing processes, check the effectiveness of Quality Management System

Provide project management expertise using World Class Manufacturing principles in support of process-oriented capital and manufacturing improvement projects.

Create NCR reports (Non-Conformity Report) for non-conforming quality problems internally and externally, manage root cause investigation meeting and activities

Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Engineering and/or Process Engineering in manufacturing environment

Prior training and experience with World Class Manufacturing, or Lean Manufacturing and ISO9001:2015, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Six Sigma preferred.

• Familiarity with and industrial risk management tools (e.g. PHAPro, HAZOP, LOPA, consequence modelling) is an asset.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Process Safety.

• Knowledge of applying industry standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, CSA

• Experience in relief valve sizing, hydraulic modelling, and process modelling (e.g UNISIM, ASPEN, PRO II).

• Experience working at an operating plant is an asset.

• Engineering degree; Must have a P.Eng

Knowledge/work experience in machine processes, cutting tools, fixtures, CNC and Special purpose machines.

Interface with suppliers of raw material and tools to establish engineering requirements for start of production.

Post-Secondary Education in Engineering or equivalent discipline.

Minimum three years of related experience.

Working knowledge of ISO-TS16949 and ISO 14001, and with mechanical blueprint interpretation including GD and T.

Good computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Knows and understands process documentation and customer specific requirements as they relate to this job function.

Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing engineering within an automotive assembly or related manufacturing industry.

Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Practical experience in costing and quoting.

Experience with CAD (preferably AutoCAD).

Good organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent PC based computer skills

Strong technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines

New automation equipment related process engineering, development and validation

Installed equipment process continuous improvement

New automation cell process outsourced equipment evaluation and selection

Provides engineering support for process related continuous improvement activities related with installed equipment.

- Engineering Degree/Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable work related experience

- Prepare presentations to engineering and management teams.
