Research and analyze product and material selection

Supports implementation and management of Inventory Control programs for critical materials.

Supports Supplier Management activity as outlined by Howmet Procurement Policy and Instructions manual.

EXPERIENCE Minimum of one to three years of experience in industrial procurement or have equivalent work experience

KNOWLEDGE Must be familiar with all MS Office applications

Reviewing reports for stock outs

Assisting with stock rotations and inventory returns in conjunction with other parts of the business

Reviewing order points for inventory stock levels & purchase order placement for 5 western Locations; Transfer Inventory as required.

Evaluate procurement methods; replenishment levels and paths

Monitor the change in material cost (BOM value) and present to management on monthly basis

Experience in RFx and analyzing offers from the vendor

Manage purchase orders to support production requirements

Solicit quotations for impending requirements based upon RFQ’s received or forecasted production
