Manager, Electronics will be responsible for the electronics performance, reliability, cost, and compliance are within international regulatory standards. The incumbent is responsible for leading design reviews, technical risk analysis, and investigations

Requirements

• Lead design solutions to meet product specifications and functional requirements
• Produce detailed engineering materials including design schematics, tolerance analysis, design notes, failure analysis reports, and technical review documents
• Lead design reviews, technical risk analysis, and investigations to proactively solve complex problems
• Addressing team and customer inquiries and complaints related to electronics
• Repairing various electronic devices and experimental equipment
• Liaise and collaborate with various Greentank engineering teams (Mechanical, Compliance, Manufacturing, Test, etc.) across the UK and China to ensure product and system requirements are met, and to drive product development through to production
• Disassembling and analyzing samples, providing professional recommendations
• Manage all aspects of the electronics function from the budgeting process, to HR, capex, device electronics, and final delivery
• Hands-on fabrication of various electronic devices and experimental equipment
• Making, and modifying the samples for R&D purposes
• Sourcing, learning, and training other team members in various types of experimental equipment
• Lead electronics performance, reliability, cost, and compliance are within international regulatory standards
• Reading and understanding circuit diagrams of various electronic components to comprehend their functionality and characteristics
• Executing engineering analysis using 6-sigma methodologies
• Designing circuits for different electronic components, writing control programs for electronic components, and designing experimental equipment
• Providing practical production experience, such as material costs, supplier information, and manufacturing difficulties
• Assist with electronics development process improvement activities

Formal Education or Equivalent

• Master degree in electronics, mechatronics or mechanical engineering
• PHD in a related field is an asset

Years of Experience

• Proven experience in managing electronics functions, preferably in a product development or manufacturing environment
• 5 years of electronics or mechatronics engineering experience

Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role

• Experience in power systems such as SWPS
• Experience with python/labview is a plus.
• Experience in conducting design reviews, risk analysis, and investigations to solve complex technical problems
• Ability to lead and guide the design process to meet product specifications and functional requirements
• Fluency in Mandarin is a must
• Experience of developing consumer products with rechargeable batteries.
• Proficiency in electronics design software and tools, such as CAD programs and circuit simulation software
• Experience in embedded programming(MCU)
• Solid understanding of international regulatory standards and compliance requirements for electronics products
