Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role

Manage all aspects of the electronics function from the budgeting process, to HR, capex, device electronics, and final delivery

Lead design solutions to meet product specifications and functional requirements

Providing practical production experience, such as material costs, supplier information, and manufacturing difficulties

5 years of electronics or mechatronics engineering experience

Proven experience in managing electronics functions, preferably in a product development or manufacturing environment

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, excel outlook ETC)

General mechanical aptitude/assembly experience is an asset.

2 Yrs. Post Graduate Electronic Troubleshooting and repair experience.

2 Yrs. Post Graduate Electronic Manufacturing/Production experience.

Complete manufacturing assembly tasks per required specification

Identify documentation requirement & improvements, support changes as necessary

Test, troubleshoot and / or support assembly of electronic products

Conduct electronics factory acceptance testing & support

Evaluate incoming and out-going factory acceptance testing for servicing returned products

Complete and maintain assembly documentation

Maintain test equipment and adhere to calibration schedule

Education: DEP or DEC in electronics or the equivalent;

Experience: Ideally a minimum of 3 years in a similar position;

Assets: Knowledge of PC architecture (ISA, PCI, CPCI), Boundary Scan/JTAG;

You will assemble/configure electronic cards and industrial systems/chassis;

You will perform test sequences related to the electronic cards after assembly or a first test that failed;

You will fill-out the required forms;

Proven project management skills (if no full-time work experience)

Communicate findings, upgrades, and troubleshooting to colleagues and management through the e-mail, texts, and voice calls

Three to five years experience in machine controls and PLC programming

Work experience with CADKey and PLC programming

Proven experience with Robotic troubleshooting and programming.

Strong presentation, oratory, and verbal skills
