Director Real Estate Finance Jobs in Ontario

Collaborate with the management team and participate in the development of the company’s strategy, including acquisition projects;

Conduct various analyses and elaborate financial strategies with the company’s managers ;

Manage and optimize working capital and ensure collection from customers ;

CPA designation and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role ;

Significant experience with inter-company transactions ;

Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and French ;

Manage, coach and mentor a team of finance professionals including CPAs and CPA candidates

7+ years of work experience in an accounting or finance environment

Experience building and managing relationships with direct reports and internal stakeholders

Progressive experience working at an accounting firm or software company

Experience with M&A activity – on the buy or sell side

Conducting financial due diligence and oversight of the financial integration of new acquisitions, including intangible valuations and acquisition accounting entries

Exceptional accounting, financial modeling, and data analysis skills

A desire to pursue a challenging career in real estate finance

Experience in M&A or corporate development is a plus

Experience drafting and reviewing legal financing documents is a plus

Strong attention to detail, organized, and a strong communicator

Solid experience in corporate finances, consolidations, auditing, and performance management

Excellent management and leadership skills to effectively manage and develop a team

Create dashboards for management review of business performance

Foundational knowledge and/or experience in a manufacturing environment

Build and manage the monthly forecast, annual budget, and 3-year business planning processes including overseeing its consolidation and preparing budget presentations

Analyze and interpret balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and liabilities

You have a Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

Valuation of different asset classes (ex. office, retail, residential, industrial, etc.)

Reviewing third party reports (ex. environmental reports, appraisals, etc.)

What You Need To Know

Minimum 5 years experience in a senior level financial management role with direct reports;

Identify revenue generating or cost saving opportunities and communicate to Operational Management;

Reporting to the CEO Hurontario LRT, you will be Mobilinx’s Finance Director. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Financial Reporting and Management

Manage the development of profit plans, annual budget and rolling forecasts;

Manage the design, development, selection and maintenance of financial planning systems;

Develop a dynamic partnership with the senior executives responsible for Food Service and Facility Management in a sector

Comply with all Health & Safety policies and requirements

Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, CPA required

15+ years of post-university work experience, including a minimum of 7 years planning & analysis and 3 years’ leadership level experience

Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done; be viewed as a trusted advisor of business leadership

Proven ability to operate under pressure, to manage competing priorities and meet deliverables

Proven experience in finance management

Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities & investments & evaluate, manage capital structure & fund raising activities,

Manage finance personnel & oversee financial IT systems, ensuring, compliance with regulatory entities (ex. CRA, ESA, CLC, etc.)

Minimum 15 years of accounting experience with 5+ years of managerial experience

Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting or finance

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

(If managing a team) Excellent team building and leadership skills and experience

Sound organizational, analytical, judgement and decision-making skills with proven abilities in problem solving

5 to 7 years of relevant functional experience

(If managing a team) 3 or more years’ experience managing people

One or more years of experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset

Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting

5+ years of experience in FP&A required

Knowledge of SRED and Canadian tax laws

Excellent written and verbal communication skills amongst all levels of the organization

Highly assertive and strong influencing skills

Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications

Walmart lead for management of all landlord portfolios, including Smartcentres.

Real Estate Professional education/certifications such as Masters in Real Estate, RICS, Brokerage License, CPM etc.

Manage all RE matters associated with owned Store support centres and any potential future sites.

Site redevelopment and surplus asset work stream on Walmart owned properties through engagement with development partners, brokers, consultants and Walmart associates.

Hire, develop, train and coach Real Estate team members to execute the real estate plan.
