Director Real Estate Finance Jobs in British Columbia

Possesses a minimum of 10+ years’ experience at the Controller/Management level within commercial/industrial real estate management or a related field.

Collaborate closely with the leadership team, offering advice, valuable insights, and recommendations to ensure timely and relevant budget preparation.

Provide support to the VP, Finance, in managing the company's tax planning initiatives, including liaising with external advisors as necessary.

Manage cash flows and working capital through ongoing forecasting and analysis.

Provide monthly cash flow analysis to the CFO and MD offering valuable insights.

Collaborate closely with the Property Managers, maintaining property budgets and reconciliations.

Understanding project funding requirements and, working with the Finance House Team, structuring debt financing to meet project funding needs

Analyzing loan offers and terms

A University degree or diploma in Real Estate, Business or Finance

Experience working with proformas and underwriting deals

Excellent written and oral communication skills

A strong working knowledge of Excel

Increase the company ability to anticipate business issues and drive good decision making through sound financial management and controls.

Experience in government funding; lead and satisfy all SRED/IRAP filing requirements.

Responsible for treasury and cash management.

Solid experience leading, managing and expanding accounting and finance departments in a fast- paced environment.

Strong knowledge and understanding of financial reporting requirements.

Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.

Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.

Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, market conditions, and legal requirements related to real estate sales.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

In-depth knowledge of the local real estate market in Vancouver, BC.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills with experience negotiating leases, management agreements, vendor contracts, utility contracts, etc.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management, leasing, or real estate investment

Responsible for overall performance and direction of asset management and leasing at Chard

Responsible to shape a department and elevate our asset management business to the next level

Assist in securing new clients for asset management and Chard Property Management

Drive cashflow and create value for each asset through hands-on and rigorous management of new and existing assets

You have a Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

Valuation of different asset classes (ex. office, retail, residential, industrial, etc.)

Reviewing third party reports (ex. environmental reports, appraisals, etc.)

· At least 7 years of progressive accounting & finance work experience.

Project-based industry and/or real estate sector experience is highly preferred

· At least 2 years of experience doing complex financial analysis, including scenario analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

· Foundational experience in corporate accounting, including experience with financial reporting (ASPE) and internal controls

· Professional Designation such as CPA, CFA, or CMA, or an MBA-Finance.
