Community Family Services Coordinator Jobs

Manage a caseload of 10 to 15 families providing Functional Family Therapy services.

Two or more years of experience in children and family services

Functional Family Therapy experience preferred;

Exceptionally good interpersonal communication skills

Ability to adapt and individualize program interventions to utilize family strengths and skills.

Skill in handling multiple tasks and meeting multiple deadlines.

Planning skills necessary to develop, manage and evaluate effective clinical programs.

A minimum of two (2) years experience in an oncology setting is preferred.

Knowledge of community, social and health care programs.

Leadership skills necessary to provide clinical direction and consultation to staff.

In consultation with the Program Manager, supports the delegation of internal staff in meeting the caseload/client-specific service plan requirements.

Manages a caseload of approximately 25 home shares, monitoring for compliance as per CLBC/CARF home sharing standards.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, internal staff, and external stakeholders.

Good interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with clients, Family Caregivers, internal staff, professionals and families.

Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Skilled, knowledgeable and experienced in local community engagement and planning work including

recruitment, management and retention of diverse volunteers.

• Knowledge of research and direct experience of what families need and what fosters strong family

• Knowledge and experience of Neighbourhood House work, particularly community based program

• Diploma or Undergraduate degree or equivalent in social work, child and youth care, education or other

human service discipline with 1 – 2 years experience in the voluntary sector

Proven organizational, time management, case management, and crisis management experience related to managing family files.

Toronto School of Management (TSoM)

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, Child Development or Education

Minimum three (3) years of successful experience providing human and /or edu cational ser v ices.

Knowledge of and respect for the diverse culture, families, and religious practices.

Knowledge of communit y services for newcomers to Canada and placement resources in the area.

Minimum of 2 years experience Long Term Care (Gerontology)

Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education

Must demonstrate good communication skills

Ability to manage, develop, retain and mentor junior tax professionals

Work on a variety of complex consulting engagements
