Post secondary education in Public Relations, Communication, Community Development, Social Work or Education

1–2 years of experience in PR-related positions, events promotion

Knowledge of current marketing techniques and PR practices

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and members of our community

Planning and developing communication strategies

Compiling communication strategies’ performance reports

Liaise with project managers, subject matter experts, clients and subconsultants

Manage projects and deliverables efficiently, including budget, scope, and schedules

Minimum 10 years project experience in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, or community consultation

Environmental assessment experience and experience in the resource, energy, industrial, transportation, waste, and water/wastewater market sectors considered an asset

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, prior client-facing experience

•Prior experience in an administrative support role, experience working in an accounting office an asset

•Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

•Handle varied roles and responsibilities and meets deadlines

•Prepare materials for client meetings, assist with setting up client meetings, debriefs and follow ups

•Collaborate with client service staff and team members to enhance and resolve tax return matters

Effective communication skills, including the ability to write accurate notes.

Good interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with clients, Family Caregivers, internal staff, professionals and families.

Demonstrated knowledge of issues and trends related to the program.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, database systems and web-based conferencing tools.

One (1) year of recent, related experience.

Evaluates client needs and develops short term plans to meet such needs with the active participation of clients and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE)

Post-secondary education in Recreation, Event Management or similar field

Proven organization and time management skills.

Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Zoom and Outlook.

Knowledge of not-for-profit community resources is an asset.

Working knowledge of technical aids and devices for people with vision loss is preferred.
