• Act as a spokesperson and champion for participants’ experiences and abilities with employers, stakeholders and colleagues.

• Develop and maintain support plans with employers/participants including mentoring and workplace accommodations.

• Perform outreach, present to community groups and others to increase participant and employer engagement.

Performs case management responsibilities, ensuring that files meet TNG and Service Canada’s standards.

· Demonstrated experience in job development in non-profit and government – funded projects

· Experience working with youth who are distance from the labour market

· Knowledge and understanding of labour market trends and job development approaches with a empathic lens

Conducts outreach to employers to encourage youth and employer participation in the program

Conducts orientation sessions, group workshops, job placement interviews and meet and greets, and other services to participants

Essential Qualifications and Required Skills:

• 3+ years’ experience working with Persons with multiple barriers in employment services preferred

• Certified Career Development Professional (CCDP) designation preferred • Familiar with local service organizations and employer community

• Ability to make cold calls and approach local employers on behalf of clients

Job Type: Full-Time, contract until March 31, 2024, with a possibility of extension

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Strong task and time management skills

Data entry experience (CRM/ATS experience an asset)

1-2 years experience in a relevant area such as career counseling or facilitations - direct experience working and supporting people

Tech and Software Savvy - experience with the G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Calendar etc.), Slack, Discord highly preferred

Demonstrated skills in understanding career foundations and job placement.

Proven experience handling a large caseload and working with international students is a definite asset.

Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation.

A minimum of five years of relevant experience and an in-depth knowledge of the legal community and labour market.

Manages Career Services Office budget.

Excellent interpersonal and counseling/coaching skills with emphasis on initiating and maintaining client relationship and communicating professionally and effectively with all clients.

Marketing, public relations, networking and relationship-building experience.

Excellent editorial and proofreading skills.

Career or academic counseling experience in a client-oriented environment preferred.

Advanced skills utilizing all Microsoft Office applications.

·Knowledge of the Toronto labour market, industry trends and IT trends such as cybersecurity

·Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Job Development or recruitment an asset

·Ability to complete detail assessment of clients commitment to working in the trades

Knowledge in human resource management and recruitment procedures is an asset.

Familiarity with variety of professions, its responsibilities, and the required qualifications

2-4 years of experience in job development, human resources, job placement, or closely related field.

Skilled at establishing public relations and building up employment network
