Responsibilities

  1. Sales and Business Development: Your primary task is identifying potential customers and generating new business opportunities. This includes prospecting, lead generation, and cold calling to build a solid client base. You'll need to understand the transportation needs of clients and present solutions that align with their requirements.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Once you've acquired clients, your responsibility is to build and maintain strong relationships with them. This involves regular communication, addressing their concerns, providing updates on services, and ensuring client satisfaction. You'll act as the main point of contact for any inquiries or issues that arise.
  3. Product and Service Knowledge: As a sales representative, you should have in-depth knowledge of the transportation services offered by your company. This includes understanding different modes of transportation (road, rail, air, sea) and the specific features, benefits, and limitations of each. You'll need to effectively communicate this information to clients, highlighting how your services can meet their unique needs.
  4. Pricing and Negotiation: You will be responsible for negotiating pricing and contractual terms with clients. This involves understanding cost structures, evaluating pricing models, and preparing quotes or proposals. You'll work closely with internal teams such as operations and finance to ensure profitability while meeting customer requirements.
  5. Market Research and Analysis: Staying informed about industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics is crucial. You'll need to conduct research to identify potential target markets, understand customer preferences, and adapt sales strategies accordingly. This information will also assist in forecasting sales targets and developing effective marketing campaigns.
  6. Reporting and Documentation: Keeping accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts is important for monitoring performance and providing management insights. You'll be responsible for preparing regular sales reports, analyzing data, and recommending improvements.
  7. Collaboration and Coordination: You'll collaborate with internal teams, such as operations, logistics, and customer support, to ensure smooth service delivery. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, logistics, or a related field can be advantageous
