Job Overview
Working under minimal supervision, the Training & Communication Specialist - Security Awareness, contributes to Wawanesa's success through supporting the design, development and/or modification of Security Awareness training and communication materials across the organization.
Job Responsibilities

• Carry out activities that support the development and implementation of the Security Awareness Program. This could include development of newsletters, campaigns, bulletins, presentations, videos, scripts, monthly meetings, webinars, and e-learning modules.
• Collaborate with Learning & Development for alignment and application of Learning & Development best practices.
• Create surveys aimed at measuring effectiveness of training and communications. Summarizes evaluation reports and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Develop Simulated phishing exercises based on real threats and threat reports
• Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of materials.
• Deliver training programs and present to the organizational stakeholders utilizing the appropriate training methods (virtual or in person presentations, webinars, quick reference guides, on the job training, webinars, etc.)
• Conduct peer reviews of training and communication materials.
• Develop and manage communications to support Security Awareness and other Information Security related initiatives ensuring consistent, appropriate, and accurate messaging.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience working in an Enterprise Organization.
• Strong planning and organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent writing skills including spelling, punctuation, and grammatical skills.
• Experience in Enterprise IT, Information Security, or IT Risk is considered an asset.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively tailor messaging to target different audiences and represent different presenters.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed data analysis for reporting to contribute to decision making.
• Fluency in French would be considered an asset.
• Creative communications degree or diploma, Marketing or Program Development for Adult Learners (PDAL) certificate would be an asset.
• Proficient with common workplace productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft SharePoint
