Toronto Hybrid - Business Analyst

Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst to join a large Capital Markets client in Toronto, ON (hybrid 1 day per week in-office). The Business Analyst will be joining a Derivative Operation team – and the goal of the position is to support and deliver operational processes that ensure settlement of Security, Derivative, Foreign Exchange and Money Market transactions are executed in a timely and accurate manner. They will be responsible for various operational processes related to account opening, confirmation, cash management, margins, and collateral. They will provide support to specialized operations including asset servicing, correspondent banking services, and wire payment operations- ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and solutions based on stakeholder needs. They will support the strategic initiatives on business priorities, communicate with internal and external partners, integrate information, monitor performance, and address issues as needed. The BA will also be expected to analyze data, resolve discrepancies, and contribute to change management. The ideal candidate is someone who has worked on large initiatives or upgrades in a fast-paced, Capital Markets environment.

Must-Haves

5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst – with a system upgrade or large-scale initiative

Worked with Murex, Calypso, or specifically Openlink / Endur

Knowledge of derivative products

In-depth knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements of Capital Markets/ the business

Solid experience with Jira

Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Ability to work within a team and share ideas

Strong skills with respect to communication, time management

Strong technical and functional proficiency

Plusses

Knowledge of Derivative products, ideally metals and commodities and their respective lifecycles
