TEAM LEAD CUSTOMER SUPPORT & ADMINISTRATION

J.D. Irving, Limited - Sawmills Division is currently seeking a motivated individual for the role of Team Lead – Customer Support & Administration,located in Saint John, New Brunswick. In this role, you will provide guidance to a team of four, support to sales representatives and respond to customer queries as needed.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with knowledge of sales and customer service best practices. You will be required to coach staff in standard policies, procedures, and best practices. You should also be able to interpret sales metrics and be goal oriented. We expect you to perform well in a team environment and have exceptional people skills. This position will interact with many, if not most, departments within our organization so good communication skills are a must.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance for customer orders, oversee inventory reconciliation, account statuses and relevant problems.
  • Responsible for pricing models, sales tracking tools and reporting
  • Manage a team of four sales support specialists
  • Develop expertise in potential business solutions and tools for various functional areas
  • Maintain good customer relationships and ensure smooth sales team operations
  • Liaison with central IT Business Analysts and Developers to convert business requirements into technical systems requirements.
  • Analyze business or operating procedures, processes, and workflow to improve efficiency
  • Provide coaching and feedback in regular one on ones with employees
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Finance or accounting related background is considered an asset
  • Ability to work on multiple project/activities on any given day without losing sight of what the most important to complete are; ability to prioritize
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel is essential
  • Teamwork and motivational skills
  • Hands on experience with JD Edwards, Cognos and/or Tableau
  • Experience in management is considered an asset
  • 5+ years of professional work experience
  • Lean Six Sigma certification a definite advantage
  • In-depth understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
