Job Description

Position: System Support Analyst

Location: Richmond, BC, V7B 0A4

Duration:6 Months

Job Type: Contract

Work Type: Onsite

Language: English

Shift Hours: Rotating shifts 7 x 24 x 365 including Stat Holidays

Pay rate: $31-$31/hr


:

  • Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet system or a segment of a network system. Responsible for monitoring the network to ensure network availability to all system users.

Education/Experience.

  • 2 to 4 years of experience is required.
  • An associate degree in a computer-related field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Must be well versed in MS Windows, MS Office
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification would be an asset
  • CompTIA A+ and Network + Certification would be an asset
  • Ability to work independently and manage one time.
  • Minimum 4 Years Experience
  • Ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements.
  • Must have PC and Tablet skills
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software as it related to LAN/WAN.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have PC and Tablet skills
  • Planned, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification would be an asset to Incident Management Services in Manage the lifecycle of all incidents.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
  • Incident Coordination The Coordinator oversees incidents from the start of the incident to the restoration of normal service operation.
  • Minimum 4 Years Experience
  • The day-to-day work of airport administration, operations, airlines, corporate users, partners, vendors, or contractors.
  • CompTIA A+ and Network + Certification would be an asset
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
  • The movement of airplanes, passengers, and baggage; or
  • Must be well versed in MS Windows, MS Office
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Incident Management Services

Manage the lifecycle of all incidents.

  • The movement of airplanes, passengers, and baggage; or
  • The day-to-day work of airport administration, operations, airlines, corporate users, partners, vendors, or contractors.

Incident Coordination

  • The Coordinator oversees incidents from the start of the incident to the restoration of normal service operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Must coordinate with the on-call Airport Authority IT Manager during Critical or High priority incidents (P1 or P2)
  • Provides regular briefings on the incident status via email to the designated distribution groups
  • Coordinates with the Service Desk to ensure proper recording of incidents
  • Confirms that each incident is resolved, and that service is restored
  • Incident briefing general and IT outage briefings
  • Participates in incident reviews
  • Contacts the on-call IT Manager or responsible IT Manager per the Escalations to On-Call IT
  • Determines if an incident needs to be escalated according to the priority and severity of the issue
  • Manager or responsible Manager during exception scenarios” section of the information
