On behalf of our client Affinity is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and tune systems and workstations management infrastructure to ensure a high level of availability and security of the supported business applications.
Key expectations of this role will be to build, implement, update, and mature a standardized WinOS desktop environment, software, security, and configuration deployment architecture which supports business continuity, regulatory/compliance and reporting requirements. The associate will also be accountable to provide resolution support for escalated OS and application related issues.
Specifically, you will:
- Coordinate with project teams to provide technical guidance to project managers, system designers while working on assigned projects. Assist in developing project plans and implementations
- Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases according to SDLC methodologies
- Assist in the enforcement of information security plans and policies
- Work closely with InfoSec engineers to maintain a secure stable infrastructure
- Create, implement, and deploy images and software for enterprise workstations utilizing technologies such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)/ Windows Pre-installation Environment Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (Windows ADK)/ and Pre-Boot Execution Environment (PXE).
- Modification of OSD Task Sequence

- Establish and maintain documentation and standards. Understand and maintain service management strategies that align with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- Software packaging and deployment, including planning for future updates to remediate vulnerabilities
- Participate in internal security audits
- Create required reports in response to business user needs
- Create custom OSD Task Sequences
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution on workstations
- Build / Capture / Update / Manager Windows 10 images (drivers, core apps, customizations)
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Deploying Operating System Images (currently Win10) via SCCM OSD and Tanium deploy including:
- Build / Capture / Update / Manager Windows 10 images (drivers, core apps, customizations)
- Modification of OSD Task Sequence
To qualify for this opportunity, you possess:
- Experience with Cloud technologies (SSO, SAML, Azure, Intune, O365) a plus
- Keen attention to detail
- Scripting technologies and components including VBScript, WMI, .NET and XML
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information
- Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language
- Hardware platform: HP, MobileIron
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within an IT Systems Administration role
- Ability to align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Good knowledge of local area network administration including firewalls and network protocols and standards
- Experience with data management
- Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Knowledge on System security loopholes and their implications
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Ability to conduct research into hardware and software issues and products as required
- System Administrator experience including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, Tanium, MS Exchange, Citrix
Top Skills Necessary
- Scripting – 3+ years of experience scripting in PowerShell (or Bash) for the purpose of automating the management of MS systems as well as to build, test, and deploy solutions.
- Active Directory Engineering – 3+ years of experience maintaining and administering Active Directory and Group Policy, in multi domains environment using Azure AD and/or On prem AD.
- Patching – 3+ years of experience providing Patching Packaging or Desktop imaging via SCCM.
