Kelly Services is currently recruiting for a client in Mississauga, Ontario for the role of Supply Chain Specialist

Job description

As Supply Chain Specialist you will:

• Uses tools such as SAP and other Windows based applications to manage and deliver superior supply chain performance to International and our customer.
• Synchronizing the supply chain resources to ensure that our customer’s expectations are met and to optimize productivity of our manufacturing facility.
• Negotiating supply planning with customer planners to efficiently manage bottleneck situation, to create manufacturing capacity and to avoid stock-out situation to our customers (make to order, make to stock and vendor managed customers).
• Manage the customer service function including inventories, forecasts, reports and Communications. Work with Customer Schedulers to monitor upcoming changes to the forecasts to reduce breakdowns in continuous productions and optimize OTIF (On Time in Full).
• Understand, follow and enforce all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
• Works with production planning team to ensure production schedules are fulfilled based on customer forecasts. Report potential problems to planning team and/or commercial team prior to reaching crisis point.

To be successful in this role:

• Advanced skills in Excel
• Several years of successful experience in a similar role, preferably within packaging, labelling
• Solid experience in utilizing SAP
• Ability to establish cross- functional, collaborative relationships
• Excellent communication skills. Must be motivated, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Solid academic background (College/ University in Business, Operations or Supply Chain)
