Job Description
Supply Chain Management (SCM) professionals at Sacré-Davey support clients by providing service across a full spectrum of activities from pre-bid Vendor Qualification activities right through to Materials Management at client work sites. Successful candidates will have broad experience and understanding of best practices of Supply Chain Management critical to the successful execution of major capital projects in the industrial sectors of Energy and/or Mining. Responsibilities Procurement and Expediting: Conduct market research and identify suitable suppliers for materials, equipment, and services. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve favorable agreements. Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation and resolution of issues. Ensure compliance with corporate or client procurement policies & regulations. Coordinate the procurement process, including requisition, technical and commercial evaluations, material requisitions, approvals, and purchase order issuance. Monitor contract commitments and facilitate receipt of key Vendor Documentation and Deliverables for Engineering Reviews Expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Manage vendor databases, including supplier qualification, evaluation, and selection processes. Supplier Relationship Management: Conducting supplier performance reviews and addressing any performance or compliance issues Collaborating with suppliers to drive innovation, cost reduction, and sustainability initiatives. Conduct supplier audits or visits as necessary Logistics: Plan and coordinating the transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel to project sites. Identify appropriate transportation modes (such as road, rail, air, or sea) based on project cost, timeline, and requirements. Managing customs clearance and ensuring compliance with import/export regulations. Track shipments to provide real-time visibility and address any delivery issues. Coordinate with logistics providers, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure safe delivery of materials to site. Liaise with client Materials Management teams to validate receipt and inventory of purchased goods and materials Supplier Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential disruptions in the supply chain. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize impact. Monitor and manage risks related to supplier performance, logistics, market volatility, and regulatory changes. Collaborate with project teams to integrate risk management into project planning and execution. Proactively identify and resolve issues that could affect project schedules and budgets. Track and report key risk indicators to management and stakeholders. Cost Management: Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting. Conduct cost-benefit analyses for supply chain-related decisions. Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate reports and dashboards to communicate supply chain metrics to stakeholders. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to align supply chain activities with project goals. Contribute in project planning and scheduling activities to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to communicate supply chain requirements and constraints. Facilitate effective communication and information sharing among project teams and external stakeholders. Resolve conflicts or issues related to supply chain activities. Participate in cross-functional meetings and project reviews to provide supply chain insights and recommendations. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Supply Chain is required. Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Demonstrated understanding of general procurement principles. Ability to produce quality work with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Strong interpersonal skills. Adaptable and efficient in handling multiple assignments. Team player with good facilitation skills and a client focus. Ability to use discretion and to maintain strict confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure.
