Opportunity
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Director, Supply Chain Planning owns all Supply Chain Planning (demand and supply), Retail Inventory Allocations and Master Data functions. The key objective is to ensure that the right business processes and tools are in place to promote full chain inventory health and data accuracy, low out of stocks, low cost and low inventory obsolescence.
Through all of the key planning cycles, the Director, Supply Chain Planning contributes to maintaining and strengthening Saje’s culture; proactively engaging in behaviours that align with Saje’s values: Wellness, Growth, Celebration, Greatness and Belonging.
Responsibilities

• Master Data: Oversees all Master Data activities including creation and maintenance of BOM, SKUs, GTINs, and dimensional data.
• Demand Planning: Oversees all Demand Planning activities including the collaborative business planning process to ensure that all inputs from the Product team, the Channels and Marketing are well integrated. Ensures buy-in and approval is received from the Executive Team on a monthly basis. Recommends improvements to planning tools (for demand, supply and allocations) and processes and then oversees implementation.
• Create a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion.
• Supply Planning: Oversees all Supply Planning activities, including buy plan execution at all levels, supply plan maintenance and production requirements. Works closely with the Sourcing and Procurement team to ensure that the buy plan is well understood and that there are no execution issues.
• Lead Supply Chain Planning, Allocations and Master Data Teams: Lead in terms of day-to-day people management, prioritization, coaching, mentoring, as well as setting the team’s best practices, strategy, and growth plans in line with the overall company goals and needs. There are 2 direct reports and a total team of 8 reporting into the Director, Supply Chain Planning.
• Stakeholder management: Develops strong relationships with all stakeholders, cross-functional teams and all team members; creates an environment for safety, trust, respect, and accountability; collaborates with cross functional teams to achieve common goals and to ensure that process improvements are being managed effectively.
• Allocations: Oversees all Allocation activities, including retail inventory replenishment and DC finished goods Inventory balancing. Ensures that the Allocations team is working closely with the Retail Operations team in communicating all necessary information to ensure that the Retail organization can be successful.
• Inventory: Oversees Saje’s Proactive Obsolescence Management process including categorization of inventory (finished product, packaging, filled components, material supplies), requests for write-off approval and follow-up with other functional teams to ensure that we are maximizing cash flow and minimizing any write-offs.

Applicant Requirements

• Preference for both manufacturing and retail industry experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team
• University degree - analytical field
• Experience implementing planning tools preferred
• 5-10 years experience in supply chain planning including both demand and supply
