Our client, a global group of companies in the geotechnical/geospatial industry, has a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Director to join their growing team in Maple Ridge, BC.
The Director, Global Supply Chain has overall responsibility for strategic sourcing, tactical purchasing, inventory management, and logistics across all entities. The role reports to the COO and its prime focus is strategic sourcing.

What You Will Be Doing

• Tactical purchasing, commodity based or other, including new product introduction (NPI) buying, across multiple sites.
• Global logistics strategy and management, inbound and outbound, including drop ship, consolidated shipments, and use of 3PL.
• Inventory strategy development and management for a product portfolio that is made or configured to order (~80%) and engineered to order (~20%).
• Facilitate Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP)
• Strategic Sourcing strategy and execution, including contract negotiation, vendor development and management. Key commodities are wire, PCBA, machined parts and assemblies, and injection molding.

What You Will Bring To The Table

• Proven negotiation skills along with a record of cost reductions.
• Experience in global, multi-site operations in purchasing, planning, and inventory management in a supply chain related position(s).
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, logistics, business administration, or a related field. Master degree an asset.
• Experience facilitating SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning) process an asset
• Depth of experience in strategic sourcing / vendor development and management is a must have.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles (and/or six sigma)
• Experience with Demand Drive MRP an asset
• Experience with ERP systems and/or an IT system for order management and fulfillment
• Leadership experience;
