Supervisor, Receiving Jobs

Under the supervision of the warehouse manager, the incumbent, either personally or throughout subordinates, assists in planning, organizing, and directing the receipt, storage, and distribution of all warehouse goods and items.

• Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Assists Warehouse Manager with the daily management of both the on-site and off-site warehouses.
• Ensures that proper procedures are complied with when generating the documents necessary for daily operations.
• Always promote positive public/employee relations.
• Ensures that inventory is stored in the correct location and in the appropriate manner.
• Supervise and assist in receiving of all food, beverage, non-food deliveries, and UPS/ Fed-Ex packages.
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Able to work hours (T.B.C) as business demands.
• Assists Warehouse Manager in the direction of daily activities of the Warehouse Attendants.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Receives inventory from vendors and appropriately tracks and logs such.
• Responsible for communicating any operational needs to the Warehouse Manager.

Experience, Education, And Certifications

• High School Diploma preferred. 3-5 years of warehouse experience in a lead role and/or a combination of work experience and education.
• Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance.

Skills

• High School Diploma preferred. 3-5 years of warehouse experience in a lead role and/or a combination of work experience and education.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work standing for long periods of time as well as walking, lifting, and bending during the course of the shift.
• Must possess the ability to take charge, make improvements, build teams, and make decisions.
• Must be able to read write and speak English effectively.
• Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Must possess the ability to operate a computerized inventory system.
• Must be able to follow safety rules and procedures as dictated by the Warehouse manager.
• Must have working knowledge of MS Word, and Excel. Stratton-Warren knowledge is desired.
