Shipping/Receiving Technician - Mississauga

With a broad range of staff experience and state-of-the-art instrumentation, we provide cross-analytical solutions for the Environmental, Energy, Mining, Transportation, Industrial, Agri-food and Life Sciences sectors.

This position is based out of our Mississauga, ON site and is an entry level position in Logistics. It is responsible for shipping and receiving all packages that arrive at and leave the facility. Further responsibilities include ensuring received packages get processed and distributed to the correct department in a timely fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklift
• Responsible for tracking orders and keeping inventory
• Shipping and receiving of samples and general packages
• Ensure packages/cylinders are handled safely and put in their proper place

Qualifications:

• Team player and able to work without supervision
• Requirement to repeatedly lift loads up to 20kg
• Excellent English communications skills – reading, writing and speaking
• Forklift license
• Basic Computer Skills – Windows, Email, Word, Spreadsheet, Internet
• Valid G Driver’s License and Clean Abstract
• Experience in a Lab setting, or oil and gas Shipping/ Receiving/ Forklift experience would be an asset but willing to train the right individual.
• High school diploma
• Well organized and able to prioritize

Work Environment:

This position requires a person to walk, stand and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. This position may work a compressed work week; night shifts may be required. Standing for extended periods of time. The laboratory/warehouse environment can be quite warm. Steel-Toed boots are required PPE. Requirement to repeatedly lift loads up to 20kg.
