Position Purpose

Under direction, loads and unloads trucks. Prepare incoming and outgoing shipments.

Key Job Activities

• Comparing and identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming

shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders,

or other records.

• Prepare items for shipment (scan label, place on skid and identify the containers). Move shipments in the transportation unit with a forklift.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipment; rejects damaged items; records shortages, and

corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Routes items to appropriate departments, when applicable.
• Maintains the integrity of all documentation and properly records the information according to departmental procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Education And Experience

• High School diploma preferred
• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing or processing environment, demonstrating good organizational and attention to detail skills preferred
• Available to work on an evening schedule: 3 pm to 11:30 pm Monday to Friday at 1575 Drew Rd
• Ability to work with a computer database
• Ability and experience driving a forklift. Forklift certification is a plus. May have to drive in narrow spaces
