Shipping And Receiving Clerk Now Hiring!

Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a leading logistics service provider in Oakville, ON. In this role you will be responsible for receiving of items in a warehouse operation and ensures that the shipments are inspected, sorted, and stored in the warehouse. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory received, as well as completing and ensuring the accuracy of all accompanying paperwork. This role requires 1-2 years of previous experience in shipping / receiving. If this describes you apply today!

• Pay rate: $17/hour
• Location: Oakville, ON
• Shifts: Monday to Friday
• Job type: Temporary | Full-time | opportunity to become a permanent position

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and report damaged goods.
• Maintains a high level of health and safety standards in and around working area.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• May operate hand truck or Power pallet truck (Walkie) to move material pallets.
• If there is any damage or mismatch in SKUs or item number, report to Supervisor right away.
• Available Full time for work Monday to Friday. Min. 40hrs a week.
• Ensures accurate quantities of product were received, and compares appropriate paperwork, or what's displayed on hand-held scanner, and matching product numbers.
• Rf Scanner knowledge required, Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Preparing list of depleted/defective or unusable items and report to Supervisor.

Requirements:

• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills required.
• Must have at least 1-2 years of experience in Shipper/Receiver background.
• Safety shoes and Vest are mandatory while working on the floor.
• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills to keep track of all the different items
• Ability to work with little supervision with a high standard for quality, attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Must have ability to Multitask and prioritize the tasks.
