Job Description
REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production. We have 17 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill. This position will be located in MISSISSAUGA, CANADA.


The Shipping Receiving Processor for Real Alloy Mississauga will


Maintain warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion, this includes weighing and identification of


material to meet customer requirements. Assist in the organization of warehouse and ingot


storage; loading/ unloading vehicles.


Afternoon shift 300 pm - 11 00 pm.


Core Accountabilities


  • Must be able to follow instructions and at the same time accept responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of warehouse and loading equipment.
  • Must be able to work without direct supervision.
  • Chock the vehicle wheels in the absence of a truck driver
  • Clean and maintain loading dock levelers, strapping machines, and warehouse equipment
  • Ensure all bands (strapping) are in proper position and securely fastened
  • Must be dependable and demonstrate strong ethics in attendance and punctuality
  • Ensure accurate weighing and recording of ingot and sow weights including scale calibration tests.
  • Ensure the safety of plant personnel through compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and maintain the attitude that all accidents are preventable.
  • Operate and maintain assigned lift truck and front-end loader
  • Operate ingot stacking machine and ingot conveyor
  • Ensure all customer requirements re product identification and markings are met
  • Sweep and clean warehouse, operate drainage sump pumps in truck bay and clean out when necessary
  • Assist truck drivers in the repositioning of trailer axle wheels and 5th wheel
  • Assist in loading of vehicles to ensure safety on the road


Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid front end loader license
  • At Fit for Work assessment may be required for this role
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Valid lift truck license
  • Able to read, write and speak English fluently


Physical Demands


  • Must be able and willing to perform other general Jabour work as and when required
  • Shifts are 8 hours in duration Monday through Friday. Overtime (including weekends)
  • Visual demands include inspection of ingot for cracks dross and flashing
  • Must be able to distinguish colours.
  • Must be able to mount and dismount from lift trucks and front-end loaders without aid
  • May be required to meet the arrival times of carriers for loading.
  • Must be able to wear steel reinforced safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses with side shields and safety vest while performing duties.
  • Physical demands of bending to mark and strap material.
