Medical Lab Supervisor, MLT: Chemistry Immediate Opening!
As a Supervisor, Medical Lab Technologist in the Chemistry department, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the daily operations of the laboratory and ensure that testing is performed accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing a team of medical lab technologists and ensuring that they are properly trained and following all safety protocols.
Some Of Your Key Duties May Include

• Supervising and coordinating the work of the medical lab technologists in the Chemistry department
• Ensuring that all laboratory procedures are performed in accordance with established protocols and quality control measures
• Overseeing the maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensuring that it is functioning properly
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to interpret laboratory results and provide appropriate patient care
• Ensuring that all laboratory records and documentation are accurate and complete
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Maintaining a safe working environment for all laboratory personnel.
• Identifying and troubleshooting problems with laboratory procedures and equipment

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in chemistry and medical laboratory technology, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
You should also be able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additionally, you will need to stay up-to-date with the latest advances in laboratory technology and regulatory requirements.
Requirements

• Medical Laboratory Technologist eligible for CMLTO registration (with current CSMLS registration); Must have relevant recent experience, knowledge, and technical skills in the appropriate field; Recent Chemistry experience required; Previous team lead or supervisory experience preferred; 6 years laboratory experience or equivalent experience
