Structural Design Coordinator Jobs

Reporting to the Station Design Manager, the Structural Design coordinator will:

• Coordinate with other teams within the Design Team (Architecture, MEP…), and with other department (construction, means & methodes…) addressing any potential conflicts in the most beneficial way for the project as a whole;
• Follow the Designer works to track the progress in respect with the design schedule;
• Review the submittal (structural drawings and reports) prepared by the Designers, with the support of the Station Design Manager and Lead Manager, in accordance with the Project Specifications and local standards.
• Identify and record any change from the Tender design, with quantity variation for Station Design Manger review and proposal to the Project Management
• Other duties as applicable
• Propose changes to the structures, pursuing cost and constructability optimization and risk mitigation;
• Keep a proper follow up of the modifications table during design (design input table, RFI…), or during construction (NCR/FCR…) in the view to prepare the As-built documentation.
• Coordinate with other departments such as construction & methods team, to provide their review and comment in due time.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience with Autodesk software (Civil 3D, Autocad, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM360), and other applicable common software in the field of transportation engineering.
• Sound knowledge on structural design, and previous experience working in structural design teams or external consultants required.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the detailed design of structures and civil infrastructure projects (plan production and specifications).
• Masters degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
