Search is partnering with one of the largest producers of value-added fresh and frozen food products in Canada and North America. Our client is a leader in branded products and a sought-out supplier of private label products because of their quality. They are a make to order manufacturer that offers a great work-life balance, employee benefits, as well as support from passionate teammates along the way. This role is 100% onsite in the area of 401 and Dixie.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are a strategic sourcer, a savvy negotiator and someone that enjoys deep dive analysis. You enjoy being one of the links that is a part of the supply chain by leveraging your knowledge of budgets, commodity markets, supplier qualifications and cost structures and vendor relations

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The primary focus of this role is to deliver competitive advantage in areas of procurement and supply chain that include but not limited to contract negotiation and terms management, sourcing, vendor selection, supply resilience, responsiveness, sustainability and innovation to meet demand plans while supporting new product and business developments and needs to required price, delivery, quality standards, inventory control and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage vendor performance versus commercially agreed terms including KPIs, price, service and value-add incorporating FSMA and GFSI mandates.
• Develop and communicate in-depth knowledge of key material market suppliers and cost infrastructure.
• Develop, monitor and review the preferred supplier contracts in assigned spend areas to ensure supplier performance, user adoption and compliance.
• Source goods and services for assigned spend areas; RFP and contract management and negotiate supply contracts.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 7-10 years experience in procurement, sourcing and purchasing analytics in a manufacturing environment
• University or college degree in relevant discipline
• Preference to Certified Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent or nearing completion/certification
