Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve favorable purchasing conditions.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Collaborate with accounts payable to resolve any invoicing or payment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, including contracts, agreements, pricing, and supplier information.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control, to determine material requirements for manufacturing operations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve any material-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Generate and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Expectations:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Buyer within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field
