Our business strategy leverages world-class technologies, motivated and talented people, and high-quality products.Our Mission is to make people's lives better by:Delivering outstanding quality products and services to our customers;Providing meaningful opportunity, job satisfaction, and job security for our people;Being positive contributors to our communities; and,Providing superior long-term investment returns to our stakeholders.Our strength is our peopleWe invite you to follow your dreams and explore a challenging and rewarding career at Martinrea.Job Summary: Responsible for the purchase of Tooling and Capital as well as issues related to the purchase such as compliance with Policies and Procedures, legal obligations and import/export requirements and duties.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree required in the following:EngineeringBusiness AdministrationSupply Chain ManagementMinimum of 7 years' experience in buying Integrated Equipment Lines, Robots, Stamping and Roll Forming-related Tooling and Capital, in the automotive marketAble to read and understand technical drawings, including tool drawings, die designs, die process sheetsFluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)Experience with Catia, FASTBLANK, etc.Experience supporting CAPEX requests and approvalsHigh level of time management, analytical and mathematical skillsStrong negotiation and organizational skills and ability to work independentlyStrong verbal, written and interpersonal skills / Excellent customer service skillsResponsibilities:Responsible for the purchase of Tooling and Capital for our Metallic Stamping Business Unit, inclusive of check fixtures, dies, integrated equipment lines, robots, ovens, etc. Also responsible to manage issues related to the purchase such as compliance within Corporate Commercial protocol of TS16949 and ISO 14001 requirements and Martinrea Purchasing Policies and Procedures, legal obligations and import/export requirements and duties.Communicates with multiple suppliers via the RFQ process to obtain pricing, availability and delivery at or below budget expectations, respecting and mirroring the requirements of our Customer's contractAssembles detailed price and cost analysis to support sourcing decisionsSupport the CAPEX request and approval processNegotiates terms of contract, in adherence with Martinrea Policies and Procedures and in conjunction with Martinrea's Legal teamLeads Technical and Commercial Design Competitions with cross-functional teamsLeads commercial management of Supplier post sourcing kick-off, ensuring adherence to the contractAttends and supports periodic management review meetingsProvide continual assessment of the business climate, market conditions, monitoring supply risk, supplier health and develop countermeasuresManage preferred Supplier database in conjunction with Technical Group and lead the development of Commodity and Supplier Strategies with cross-functional participationDevelops strategies which maximize global synergies, reduce overall capital costs and material costs and improve throughput, quality and delivery performance.Support negotiation of MRO products, consumables and other wear items associated with the Tooling and Equipment we useSupport Program Management and the Technical Group with the development and advancement of our Technical Specifications.
