Job Description

Role: Sr Designer, PLG

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Duration: 7+ Months

Seeking a Senior Designer that will craft visually compelling concepts and designs that align with our brand guidelines and demonstrate strong visual aesthetics in color, typography, graphics, and interactive design. Must be US based and candidates need to sit in either Eastern or Central time zones.

Must have:

  • Understanding typography, layout, animation, and art direction, delivering effective, on-brand, and strategy creation.
  • 5+ yrs exp at agency/in-house, concepting & art directing ideas for brand & product advertising
  • Significant hands-on experience with Figma.

Responsibilities:

The Product Led Growth (PLG) team is on a mission to elevate a developer-focused onboarding experience for our customers, including nurtured pathways to higher stickiness and longer-term retention. By crafting a meaningful, trustworthy, and supportive first impression, this team ensures we make the most of every customer signup. Our PLG team is highly cross-functional and hyper-focused on data. In this role, you will collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Designers to identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, drive greater adoption, and support successful onboarding through the product.

This opportunity is focused on the client's Customer Identity Cloud. You will join a distributed and diverse Design team that champions a high trust and inclusive team culture. Through research, creative exploration, and thoughtful critiques, our design team places a strong emphasis on creating top-tier experiences for our customers. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious and keen to take initiative.

What you will do:

  • Bring design concepts to life through storyboarding, comps, and creative presentations
  • Iterate on solutions based on direct and indirect stakeholder feedback
  • Work together with designers on other product teams to keep work consistent and improve quality
  • Craft visually compelling concepts and designs that align with our brand guidelines and demonstrate strong visual aesthetics in color, typography, graphics, and interactive design
  • Create visual content including video and illustrations to support our customers through the onboarding journey
  • Identify opportunities to infuse brand delight into our entire conversion funnel
  • Support the launch of campaigns and tutorials within the product
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and PLG teams to prioritize features and improvements, and facilitate design discussions
  • Establish a clear understanding of project briefs and demonstrate the ability to craft thoughtful digital design solutions to drive user engagement and click-through rate
  • Work with product and engineering to implement innovative and experimental concepts.
  • Share work early and often and seek out constructive feedback from peers, product teams, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

You might be a good fit for this role if you:

  • Have an understanding of typography, layout, animation, and art direction, delivering practical, on-brand, and on-strategy creative
  • Are driven by curiosity to understand the little details
  • Have experience with running experiments
  • Can distill complex problems into precise, simple, and delightful solutions
  • Have a strong understanding of product-led growth, conversion metrics, and optimizing user journeys

Minimum requirements:

  • BA or BFA in Art/Design or a related field
  • 5+ years experience at agency/in-house, concepting, and art directing ideas for brand and product advertising
  • Proficient in Figma
  • Detail oriented understanding of design

Must Haves:

  • Significant hands-on experience with Figma.
