Solutions Architect ( Cerner Him )

Background:

Our clients are regional / provincial Health Authorities in Canada with over 10K employees. They are looking for Solutions Architects specializing in Cerner HIM / Health Information Management solutions to support the following:

• External Lab Messaging System (ELMS): Participating in the design, build, testing and validation of lab results inbound from external systems based on provider relationships.
• Ambulatory: Re-evaluating existing Patient Portal clipboard functionality and workflows to provide alternate streamlined processes for accepting patient intake documentation through the patient portal.
• Referral/Requisition Manager: Designing and participating in testing of referral and requisition management workflows.
• Data Quality: Optimizing remediation workflows for client identity documentation, orders, clinical documentation and mass electronic chart remediation.
• Advanced Capture: Batch Scanning: Defining the access control model and developing the ongoing process for managing documents that are scanned using transformation services.

Services required includes:

1. Lead in the areas of requirements documentation, workflow analysis, system design, testing, and implementation for healthcare clients.
2. Ensure technical builds meet organizational and Health Information Management / HIM standards, evaluating existing policies and procedures, and making recommendations for updates.
3. Participate in creating workflows and building order entry workflows associated with results receipt and validation, ensuring seamless integration and accurate results reporting.
4. Deliver a written report detailing project completion, outstanding issues, and lessons learned at the end of the engagement, providing insights for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

1. Experience with a large scale, cross-site and cross-care Cerner HIM / Health Information enterprise design and implementation
2. Experience with Cerner HIM applications such as Project Management / PM Office, Scheduling Appointment Book, Advanced Capture, Distribution, Cerner Patient Document Indexing / CPDI, Core Event Manager, Profile, Chart Tracking and Deficiency Management

These opportunities can be initially up to 12 months for the right candidate with options to extend as needed. There has been past instances where the work has continued for over 5 years because of the overall match. Compensation is competitive as per market rates.
