Inspirata, an oncology informatics company based in Toronto, is currently seeking an AI/ML Software Developer experience within an Agile development methodology, who is passionate about innovation and healthcare. As part of a growing team, you will have the opportunity to develop cutting edge AI/ML software solutions that directly impact patient care in the field of oncology.
You will be:
Developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems in cancer care, using techniques such as natural language processing, machine learning, heuristic search/pattern matching and inference engines. You will be responsible for discovery, analysis, design, coding, documentation and testing in a team environment. You will also develop and maintain analytics capabilities for Inspirata’s knowledge-based technologies, becoming familiar with and using tools for knowledge base analysis, performance tracking and testing.
The AI/ML Software Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for developing robust, high quality software applications. In this role, you will also be responsible for managing the software development lifecycle using the Scrum methodology. Must be able to work collaboratively with other Scrum Masters, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of software applications.
Responsibilities:
•Develop high quality software applications using (AI/NLP) technologies and development methodologies.
•Develop and maintain machine learning models that extend the current capabilities of our AI/NLP suite of products.
•Collaborate with software development teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing software systems for clinical and research applications.
•Analyze and evaluate product requirements to determine the best solutions for software development.
•Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and methodologies to ensure we remain at the forefront of the industry.
•Manage the software development lifecycle using the agile/Scrum methodology.
•Work closely with other Scrum Masters, Product Owners to ensure that the product backlog is well groomed.
•Facilitate with Release plan, sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
•Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to ensure the feedback is incorporated into development process.
•Manage technical dependencies and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of features.
•Proactively identify and mitigate risks in the project.
•Identify areas of improvement and help to implement changes to the process.
•Ensure software development process is followed and adhered to.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering (or equivalent experience).
· 3+ years of experience in software development with expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
·Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, or similar.
·Experience with deep learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or similar.
·Familiarity with .NET Core/Framework, SQL/relational database and Microsoft Visual Studio is preferred.
·Knowledge in NLP, expert systems and other AI technologies are significant assets.
·Experience working in healthcare or with medical data preferred.
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
·Knowledge of agile methodology and various frameworks.
·Strong collaboration and communication skills.
