Job Description
Background

As a software business analyst at servicePath, you will be a part of the Technical Services Team and will become an expert in the company's CPQ+ software product. You will deeply understand stakeholder needs, and be able to articulate these needs in requirements that our agile software development team can deliver. You will maintain ownership of your projects and provide continuous feedback to the software team as the solution is being built and have the satisfaction of seeing customers delighted by the solutions we deliver.


Key Result Areas


Requirements Capture

Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders.

Documentation

Document business and technical requirements.

Solution Design

Identify and define solutions to complex business problems (with the support of technical and subject matter experts) that will maximize the value delivered to stakeholders.



Key Competency and Experience

Minimum

  • Previous experience (min 5-7 years) as a Software Business Analyst or related role in B2B software industry
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus

Core Competency

  • Compliance to day-to-day change requests, while challenging the status quo as needed.
  • University degree in computer science or related field
  • Elicit requirements using business process analysis and competitive product analysis; conduct gap analysis and present summary of findings.
  • IT Business Analysts must have the ability to understand the team’s challenges and develop solutions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are crucial for working with all stakeholders.
  • Foresee and document project challenges and communicate before they become project risks.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects from beginning to completion is important for all IT Business Analysts.
  • Leverage the industry knowledge to help stakeholders build insightful personas of targeted business users.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer among the development team and project leads.
  • IT Business Analysts need strong analytical skills to create reports and offer recommendations.
  • IT Business Analysts should be familiar with various types of project management and business analysis software. Proficiency in spreadsheets is also important.
  • Effective reporting against upcoming milestones, project status, risks and dependencies.
  • Maintaining ownership of your projects and provide continuous feedback to the software team as the solution is being built and have the satisfaction of seeing customers delighted by the solutions we deliver
  • Create concise yet detailed functional specification documentation, business requirement documentation, user stories and storyboards.
  • Understanding stakeholder needs, and be able to articulate these needs in requirements that our agile software development team can deliver.

Preferred

  • Understanding of CRM / CPQ / Sales Management business systems
  • Working experience within Agile/Waterfall (Hybrid) environment
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Jira and Kanban boards.
  • Great at presenting information through visual tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of the technology and / or managed services industries
  • Writing functional design documents, business process documents and detailed user stories.

Salary Range

10,000 USD - 12,500 USD per year
