Position Overview

Calian is inviting expression of interest from applicants for the role of a SITE MANAGER at various locations, for a future possible project with the government. This project is aimed at providing temporary accommodations for asylum claimants entering Canada. This is a Monday – Friday schedule, 8AM to 4PM on site opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Directing resources, and facilitating the movement of asylum claimants arrivals to temporary accommodation sites;
• Overseeing the needs of asylum claimant arrivals onsite on a daily basis;
• Providing daily reporting, as required;
• Coordinating and managing staff schedules;
• Reporting all incidents verbally immediately to the Project Authority, followed by a written report at the end of each shift;
• Liaising with temporary accommodation site kitchen or caterer to ensure that the meals are in appropriate quantity and meet the standards of quality as set out by the Project Authority.
• Monitoring and tracking the number of meals provided to asylum claimant arrivals from the hotel kitchen or third party; and
• Ensuring efficient operations of site and by shifts;
• Promoting and taking attendance at organized events;
• Ensuring required documentation is printed and available as requested;

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year of work experience in the last 5 years in a staff, operations and facility management is preferred
• Eligible for Enhanced Reliability security clearance
• Post secondary education
• Ideally worked in a Healthcare/Hospital setting or where the incumbent has worked with diverse set of people in the community is ideal
