About the Role


This position is an integral part of the leadership team here at WDEA Works and is instrumental in leading a highly engaged, passionate, and motivated team so we can continue to ensure that our services are delivered with a clear client focus, ensuring adherence to best practise, and contributing to sustainable growth.


We’re seeking a truly transformational leader; someone who is confident, decisive and commercially minded, who can engage colleagues and external stakeholders; someone who is motivated and can motivate.


This role is performance-driven and requires someone with experience managing people and an understanding of what makes good client service. We’re seeking someone who thrives on helping to create and lead a successful, results-driven team environment.

Desired Skills And Experience


To be successful in the role, you will possess:


  • Proven skills and experience in managing staff and providing leadership.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including negotiation and liaison skills, and the ability to work in partnership with clients to assess their needs and develop strategies to meet them.
  • A current Victorian Driver's licence is essential.
  • Experience in people management and development, including recruitment, performance management and performance reviews.
  • Understanding the Employment Services Deed (DES and TtW) compliance requirements, including evidence supporting claims, placement, and outcomes.
  • High level of professionalism in organising work and time management. Ability to prioritise tasks and exercise initiative and creativity in achieving desired outcomes for clients and WDEA Works.
  • General computer literacy and proficiency in MS Windows, MS Word, and Internet programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment services, the relevant contractual requirements and the current labour market.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals and groups while focusing on achieving business targets and outcomes.
  • Proven skills and experience in managing targets driven by performance.
