Position Title: Sim Lab Technologists
Status: Regular Part-Time (RPT)

Salary: $18.44 - $28.38
Duration of Need: Two positions - 12-month need and 8-month need
What You Will Do
The FSCS Sim Lab is a learning lab that provides experiential learning opportunities through simulations in a low-risk-controlled environment. The Sim Lab provides simulation support and is equipped with diverse resources to facilitate the design, development, and delivery of simulations.
The Sim Lab Technologist will support the development and delivery of simulation experiences for students as well as support the operational needs of the lab. At the direction of the Simulation Specialists, the Sim Lab Technologist will facilitate simulation set-up, operating pre-set simulation controls, simulation development, cleaning equipment between usage, Sim Lab open and closing procedures, while ensuring that rules, policies, and safety procedures are being observed. The incumbent will also support file management, the scheduling of lab usage, reply to inquiries as needed, conduct equipment inventory, and support preliminary research for the development of new simulations. All work will take place in person at the Lakeshore campus.

Minimum completion of a 2-year diploma program
Skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional administrative and interpersonal skills
• Simulation and audio-visual experience (asset)
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and exercise sound judgment
• Previous experience working in a post-secondary environment (preferred)
• Advanced problem-solving and time-management skills
