THE ASSIGNMENT:

• Assisting with invoicing wholesale customers.
• Handling vendor inquiries and troubleshooting issues.
• Responding to information requests from internal customers.
• Reconciling vendor statements.
• Assisting with administrative tasks as required.
• Processing payments to outside sales representatives as per their individual contracts.
• Reporting to the Assistant Controller, and working as a key member of the accounting team, the Accounting Assistant is responsible for the following duties:
• Supporting cash flow forecasting models by gathering inflow and outflow data.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensuring all vendor documentation is managed and filed appropriately (electronic and hard copy).
• Supporting the Accounts Receivable function during peak seasons.
• Processing and handling purchase contracts, utilities, and vendor and factory payments (as required).
• Performing daily bank reconciliations and maintain the control and integrity of all cash related and clearing accounts.
• Matching, coding and preparation of vendor invoices, expense reports, and other payment requests.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be a collaborative team player.
• Knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting software systems.
• Solid interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills.
• Displays a positive attitude and is willing to take initiative.
• 1 -3 years' experience working as an accounting technician, accounts payable or accounts receivable assistant, or, currently working towards a degree/diploma in accounting.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Possess a reliable vehicle and a driver’s license in good standing.
• Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Exposure to Motocross and/or Snowmobile racing culture is considered an asset.
