Our client is a gas transmission pipeline monitoring software provider that is undergoing an aggressive expansion.

This role requires a person who is a creative yet analytical thinker, who has exceptional communication skills, with the ability to remain agile, and collaborative.
Travel:
Travel is mostly US and some Canadian major cities. This includes travel to Ontario for corporate meetings/events. On average trips are usually 1-2 nights for individual client meetings but conferences will require week-long stays.

Account Leadership
- Develops market awareness and consistently works to educate and change prospective customer mindsets, including industry influencers, towards viewing our client as a key thought and solution leader in Integrity Management
- Plans prospective meeting agendas in alignment with strategic and tactical plans
- Articulates the features, benefits, and value of their full solution suite to prospective clients and industry influencers
- Builds consultative relationships at various levels within prospective organizations and offers strategic advice where required
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the North American Pipeline marketplace, Integrity Management, industry trends and current/future regulatory and legislative requirements
- Develops strategic and tactical plans for prospective accounts, identifying gaps and opportunities to win the business, and to meet and exceed sales targets
Sales Leadership
- Exercises strong sales process, discipline, and acumen
- Marshalls internal resources, where required to win the business, including technical demos, executive level meetings, product support, RFP responses, Proof of Concepts, Statement of Work preparation, etc.
- Represents our client at industry events (association meetings, tradeshows, conferences, etc.)
- Builds and manages an effective sales funnel within Salesforce CRM and works the pipeline with forecasting consistency and accuracy
- Reports relevant market information on competitors, customers and market trends
- Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction through both direct client interaction and internal departmental client interaction
- Adheres to sales metrics utilizing CRM reporting tools, templates, and disciplines
Qualifications
- REQUIRED: Ability to travel across North America to meet with existing/prospective clients and participate at industry trade events. Travel requirement approx. 25-50%
- REQUIRED: Strong negotiation skills and experience
- REQUIRED: Undergraduate Degree in STEM Field or Business/Management
- REQUIRED: +3 years of National sales experience, providing technical solutions
- PREFERRED: Experience in the gas pipeline industry

- Computer Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, with working knowledge of Salesforce

- Speaking/Presenting: Clearly articulates ideas, opinions and information in technical presentations and speeches so that the intended purpose is achieved and the needs of the audience are met
- Creative Thinking: Generates innovative, out-of-the-box approaches and improved solutions
- Functions in alignment with company Values and Professional Culture
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 base plus commission. With 3 weeks of vacation annually, plus 6 additional floater days.
