As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will own our flagship Vehicle Occupancy Detection product product. This product has consistently outperformed competitors in comparative testing conducted by public agencies and private operators worldwide.
You will contribute to taking this market leading product to the next level. You will prioritize features and functionality, set targets for the development team and manage deployments. You will participate in the daily stand-ups, relay information to the technical team. You will play a pivotal role in our company, managing our product roadmap and projects to impress our customers and maximise market growth.

Requirements

• Leadership and project management capabilities
• Masters or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering with a focus on mechatronics preferred;
• Solid industry experience in one of these domains: intelligent transportation systems (ITS), robotics, automotive or embedded systems;
• Willing to work in our Toronto downtown office
• Collaborative and Strong Communication Skills
• Strategic Planning and Operational Execution Skills
• Experience with C++ and Python;
• Systems Engineering knowledge and technical documentation, and experience working with suppliers and integrators;
• Field engineering experience (including installation of components) or experience running mechatronic demos in front of customers/clients (beyond internal lab tests);
• Solid Experience in Computer Aided Design (preferably SolidWorks);
• Solid understanding of networking (layers, IP, communication protocols, remote access), and cybersecurity (VPN, authentication and encryption);
• Open to travelling for work (minimum 4 weeks per year).

Bonus:

• Professional working proficiency in French (Written and Spoken);
• Previous exposure to simulation, visualization and graphics rendering tools (e.g. Unreal Engine, CARLA or equivalents);
• Comfortable driving vehicles in Canada (Ontario G license) and internationally.
• Hands-on with mechanical and electrical tools, and experience with manufacturing and fabrication processes;
• User Experience Focused and ability to ensure they get the results they need in product
• Software productizing experience in Linux (C++ compilers, CMake, unit/integration testing, docker, git);
• Previous exposure to real-time middleware frameworks, multi-threading and multi-processing;
• Exposure to machine learning frameworks (pytorch, tensorflow, Keras, etc), data and cloud tools (AWS, dvc, etc);
