Leader Name: Director, Advice + AI Products


Work Arrangement: Hybrid: You'll work both remote and onsite in Edmonton or Calgary, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.


As ATB's next Product Manager for Advice, AI + Automation, you are responsible to drive, contribute and execute ATB's Automation product strategies. Our team creates products and solutions, built around Data, AI and Automation, that deliver human centred advice and augment ATBs client and advisory experiences. You'll work alongside a talented product team, technology and user experience partners to do discovery and execute on opportunities that contribute to the desired outcomes of business goals and client value. You will be responsible for creating an Automation strategy and owning a portfolio of value-creating applications of enterprise-level using automation capabilities with an ATB-wide impact.


Key Responsibilities


  • You are responsible for discovery of opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional team mates and are accountable for writing epics and stories. You are able to manage squad delivery. You discover, decompose, define, prioritise and fully own product requirements for all channels and integration capabilities.
  • With your leader and product team, you champion the Advice, AI + Automations team's product strategy & roadmap by translating the high-level roadmap to opportunities, and how they support ATB's strategy and purpose. You execute on the delivery of desired outcomes.
  • You have shared accountability for the creation and management of product management artifacts including but not limited to; Product Roadmaps and Strategy, Product Backlogs (User Stories), StoryBoards, Release management plans and others
  • Regularly connects with clients/users to identify and validate problems to solve and solution to those problems
  • Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) moves to production and distribution
  • You work closely with to support the product release strategies for internal and external roll out. You manage stakeholder expectations and work closely with various AOE stakeholders and SMEs, ensuring their expertise is incorporated into the solutions being designed and implemented.
  • Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from opportunity identification, discovery, and planning through production, release, and end of life
  • Provides input throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line

  • Leads the discovery and design to define sprint goals, user stories and acceptance criteria with direction from Product Roadmap
  • Feature/functionality, backlog prioritization, and release planning including the management of risks
  • Empowered by the business and partners to make critical product decisions by zooming in and out to define and communicate the Product Vision from overall value down to functional product requirements
  • Acts as the primary business & customer representative for squads, and translates their needs into a set of functional requirements that the squad implements


Analyze & Iterative Improvements


  • Establish performance benchmarks and usage metrics for our digital offerings and manage Key Performance Indicators to achieve desired results and growth. Prepare appropriate analysis of all data relevant to the products and services including initiative cost, benefit potential and value generate
  • Makes product decisions based on outcomes for the customer and business; measures the outcomes delivered and articulates the value based on those outcomes


Requirements


Core Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence interacting with senior leadership and executives.
  • The ability to communicate complex information and concepts to a variety of audiences to support decision making.
  • Business fundamentals including financial management, metrics reporting, business process management, customer centricity, business analysis and problem solving
  • Client centric discovery and delivery, prioritization, story writing, release planning, success measurement
  • Product Management - Strategic and operational roadmapping for the development of a product
  • The ability to communicate complex information and concepts.
  • An understanding of the application and value of Artificial Intelligence and the associated maturity.
  • Strategic Planning - Documenting and establishing direction of a vision and roadmap for a product
  • Experience in business transformation and operational change management.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem solving skills; detail oriented with strong process oriented analytical skills.
  • Experience with Design Thinking, User Scenario Tools and Customer Research & Journey Mapping
  • Ability to use the Product Development Lifecycle (Conceive, Plan, Develop, Quality, Launch, Maximize, Retire) to deliver value
  • Agile Ways of Working (Scrum & Kanban, Ceremony Facilitation, Incremental Delivery, etc.)


Accreditation


  • Proven experience eliciting (discovering), scoping, analyzing, specifying, validating and documenting product requirements through collaboration with both business and technical stakeholders
  • 3+ years of product management experience at a mid to large size corporation
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, computer science or equivalent degree or prior experience as an entrepreneur, product manager, or product designer in a company
  • At least 3 years of working experience with Scrum as an agile framework for product development and delivery; as well as a general understanding of agile software development practices and SDLC methodologies
