As the Senior Manager, you will be a key member of the Element Fleet Management Communications team, focused on identifying targeted media opportunities aligned to business priorities and reacting to others that demonstrate, or protect Element’s reputation for our industry-leading value proposition. We are looking for an experienced star with excellent public relations and communications skills, to help lead strategic internal initiatives related to the people experience at Element.


A Day in the Life


Media Relations


  • Acting as Element spokesperson and working closely with Element leadership to help prepare them for media opportunities.
  • Manage partnership press releases including external and internal stakeholdering
  • Developing and implementing crisis communications advice and media strategies as required.
  • Reactive development of media materials including press releases, social media posts, key messages, and Q&As.
  • In partnership with the Director, Corporate Communications and VP Communication, Manage external speaking opportunities for the CEO.


Corporate Communications


  • In partnership with Director, plan and execute an employee experience communications strategy and editorial calendar that is grounded by a strong understanding of employee drivers and performance objectives to further our people’s engagement.
  • Lead communications strategy and implementation on strategic initiatives pertaining to CEO Transition, 2023 purpose and brand.
  • Plan, develop, and execute employee messages, working collaboratively across PP&C and other cross-functional teams to communicate strategic company initiatives and programs, including ESG and DE&I, BSC, and Pay-for-Performance.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or similar
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and new media (social media, blog, web copy, etc.)
  • 7 - 10 years proven track record of communication strategy and execution
  • Strong writing and editing skills required
