About the Opportunity
Airbus Helicopters Canada is looking to hire a Manager, Corporate Affairs and Communications to join our team in Fort Erie, O.N., on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate is responsible for the organization of corporate events, trade shows, press conferences, and quarterly addresses, while managing internal and external communication initiatives and projects including media engagement and social media.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Organizes AHCA content for the AHNA Customer Newsletter
- Oversees the development and management of contacts for activities related to corporate affairs
- Participates with the President in regular meetings with the aim to provide updates on the global situation of AHCA
- Ensures plans are fully developed and executed for all AHCA activities related to governmental and political activities
- Coordinates internal and external communication projects within AHCA and AHNA network
- Manages corporate relationships with various trade associations such as OAC, HAC, AIAC, etc.
- Coordinates the AHCA communication plan in partnership with Airbus Canada Limited Partnership (ACLP) and Airbus Helicopters, Inc (AHI)/Airbus Helicopters North America (AHNA)
- Assists in the creation of the AHNA calendar and distribution to customers
- Manages the delivery of corporate affairs strategies and initiatives to support the decision-making of AHCA
- Manages the establishment and maintenance of the new AHCA HUB and HUB Community page
- Facilitates the organization of and supports customer visits, tours, and events
- Creates content for AHCA social media tools to maintain and grow the Canadian audience of these platforms
- Supports, writes, and revises internal and external communication and documents as required, including press releases and web stories
- Executes process management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaises with media on press releases, and inquiries as the focal point for communications at AHCA
- Ensures the Sponsorships and Donations process is followed for AHCA trade shows and events
- Manages maintenance and updates to AHCA website
- Liaises with various Airbus entities to gather government and political information
- Manages the development and maintenance of key corporate affairs meetings and events
- Manages organization of customer events including photo/video shoots, Canadian trade shows, and events
- Creates Canadian content for the Airbus Americas Internal Newsletter
More About You
In order to qualify for this role, you must possess a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or equivalent related field experience, along with 5+ years of experience working in marketing and communications.
The following skills and experience will be strong assets for this role:
- Digital marketing or graphic design experience
- Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint as well as CRM experience; Google Workspace is a plus
- Understanding of news media operations
- Demonstrated data analysis skills including identification of trends, risks, opportunities, and measurement of communications impact
- Experience in the helicopter/aviation business or manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated track record working with the media
- Bilingualism (French-English) is an asset
- Expertise in all matters relating to marketing and communications
