Position Overview:
Our Alberta end client is in need of a Senior JD Edwards Financials Business Analyst. The candidate can be based out of Calgary or Edmonton.
Hybrid role: minimal in office
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior JDE Financials Business Analyst to join our team in Alberta. This is a permanent full-time position that offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with occasional on-site presence. As a Senior JDE Financials Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing financial business processes within the JDE (JD Edwards) system, specifically JDE versions 9.1 and 9.2. Your expertise in JDE Financials combined with your strong analytical and problem-solving abilities will contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze Business Processes: Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather business requirements and conduct thorough analysis of existing financial processes. Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions using the JDE Financials module (versions 9.1 and 9.2).
- System Configuration: Configure and customize the JDE Financials module (versions 9.1 and 9.2) to align with business requirements. Ensure proper setup of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and other related modules.
- System Integration: Collaborate with the IT team to integrate JDE Financials (versions 9.1 and 9.2) with other business systems and applications. Ensure seamless data flow and accurate financial reporting across various systems.
- Testing and Documentation: Develop test plans and conduct comprehensive testing to validate the accuracy and functionality of JDE Financials configurations (versions 9.1 and 9.2). Document test results, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- User Training and Support: Provide training sessions to end-users on JDE Financials (versions 9.1 and 9.2) functionalities and best practices. Offer ongoing support, troubleshoot system issues, and resolve user queries related to financial processes.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance financial processes by identifying areas of inefficiency, recommending process improvements, and implementing industry best practices.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and security protocols within the JDE Financials system (versions 9.1 and 9.2). Identify and address any potential risks or vulnerabilities.
- Collaboration and Communication: Foster effective working relationships with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and other business units. Communicate project updates, timelines, and issues to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst, preferably specializing in JDE Financials (versions 9.1 and 9.2). Strong knowledge of JDE EnterpriseOne and its financial modules (GL, AP, AR, FA) is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JDE Financials configuration, setup, and customization (versions 9.1 and 9.2). Familiarity with JDE integration tools, reporting functionalities, and data analytics is a plus. Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including technical and non-technical teams. Strong presentation and training skills.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate and high-quality work. Ability to perform comprehensive testing and ensure data integrity
