Senior Finance & Operations Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Finance & Operations Analyst to join our team in Calgary, AB.

As a member of the Western Finance team, the Senior Finance & Operations Analyst will provide 'real time' support and analysis, and be a trusted adviser, adding value that will assist in decision making. This role will work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of operations and financial results, to provide timely and relevant information to leadership.
The Senior Finance & Operations Analyst will:

• Create and deliver yearly budgets for our Direct business, working closely with corporate and operations leaders
• Take ownership of variable compensation calculations, reviewing for accuracy and adherence to company policies
• Be accountable for the accuracy of the Profit and Loss reports, which includes reviewing entries executed by corporate accounting team
• Provide insightful analysis beyond the month end profit and loss, to help leadership make informed decisions
• Work closely with a team of accountants to track business performance, presenting results to various levels of management
• Be responsible for automating and creating efficiencies of current processes based on the operational needs of the company
• Collaborate together with operations leadership to build financial forecasts and modeling to ensure budget gaps are communicated in a timely manner
• Be responsible for special projects as they arise
• Develop and evolve meaningful metrics and financial highlights to support business decision making

To be successful as a Senior Finance & Operations Analyst with People Corporation, you will need:

• CPA designation or working towards with 3-5 years work experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience using Excel and ability to work with large amounts of data using Excel tools and functions
• Strong time management skills; commitment to meeting objectives and required deadlines
