Senior Finance & Operations Analyst

•3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis or a related discipline

2-4 years’ professional experience, preferably in investment management or financial services industry.

Self-starter with proven organizational skills but seeks direction where required.

Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Cash or banking operations experience is an asset.

Provide timely and reliable financial information to stakeholders, management, and regulatory authorities to support decision-making and compliance requirements.

Facilitate smooth communication within the organization, including reviewing and responding to emails, and managing correspondence on behalf of management.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent

Demonstrated knowledge of financial accounting concepts and principles

Work experience at a SaaS company, a plus

Experience using Xero accounting software or similar, a plus

2 years of Operations and Supply Chain Finance experience however not mandatory as this is a junior position.

Bachelor of Commerce, Majoring in Finance or Accounting

Experience in a CPG or Cannabis Manufacturing Company

Experience in Operating Model Analysis and Design

Experience in Month and Quarter End Reporting Activities

Experience in the Cannabis Industry

Minimum of 3 years of financial services‐related experience, asset management experience is preferred

Exposure to private funds and knowledge of the investment management industry

Develop and oversee internal management reporting

Review and manage the end-to-end process of various submissions from the business groups (e.g., asset under management, asset management reporting)

Design, test, and implement dashboards / senior management reports for a cloud-based data system (Mercatus)

Liaise and provide strategic guidance on Private Fund Finance and Operations across all the business groups

· Excellent project management, research, analytical, organizational, and time management skills

· Prepare ad hoc reports and projects for the investment department and / or senior management

3+ years of relevant work experience in client services or media operations.

3+ years of experience in leading media operations functions.

Advanced knowledge of Excel required.

Strong time management skills; commitment to meeting objectives and required deadlines

Work closely with a team of accountants to track business performance, presenting results to various levels of management

CPA designation or working towards with 3-5 years work experience

Experience using Excel and ability to work with large amounts of data using Excel tools and functions

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Be adaptable, actively embrace and manage change; Proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment

Strong organization and time-management skills

Post-secondary education – University graduate in Finance or Accounting, Bachelor’s degree required

Coordinating, maintaining proficiency, and providing training on DDS / SAP related technical knowledge and applications

0-2 years Financial or Accounting related experience, preferably media agency, marketing, advertising, or technology related industry experience

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Excellent interpersonal skills, and strong internal and client relationship skills
