Position Overview


We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Human Resources Team in the role of Senior HRBP to deliver a wide range of consultative and HR support services to business leaders and employees. In this role, you will be a key member of the local Leadership team for the business and will partner with the Senior Managers and their Leadership Teams to provide advice and deliver value-add interventions in all areas of people management and business strategy. You will be responsible for designing and delivering a people agenda/strategy that is fit for purpose in order to achieve the Business Plan and Company objectives.


We are looking for a motivated Human Resources professional who has a demonstrated ability to advance the success of HR collaboratively. The role requires a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude in combination with being a trusted advisor to the business leaders at the strategic and operational level. You will have a proven track record in identifying opportunities for change and being able to successfully influence Leadership Teams to enable change. You will ensure the culture and behaviours are continually reinforced and developed, and Managers are fully equipped and up skilled to meet the people management aspects of their role. You will be responsible for overall delivery of HR related projects, initiatives, synergies and transitions liaising and working closely with the broader HR teams across Canada and internationally for IIS global operations.


Accountabilities


  • Identify gaps in HR and Company policy, provide recommendations and a business case where applicable to improve policies and procedures.
  • Implement best practices and drive change management initiatives to meet business imperatives
  • Guide and advise Managers on how to solve work-related problems by assisting Managers with coaching and performance management.
  • Enhance employee experience and drive initiatives to reduce attrition rates
  • Guide and advise management by participating in the development and deployment of the following human resource strategies: recruitment, workforce and succession planning, compensation, performance management, management training and development, HR metrics, organizational change and employee mobilization.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, employment law, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance and act as the local Ethics Officer.
  • Create a high performing culture through inclusion, diversity and dialogue
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Participate in various HR local and country projects.
  • Work with senior management to assess staffing plans with key groups for the Business Plan and review of areas of risk.


Qualifications


  • Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Labour law, Employment law, Human Rights legislation and Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Experience working in an international environment and the ability to work within a matrix organization structure.
  • Consultative style and trusted advisor who can effectively influence, coach and consult with key stakeholders, peers and team members.
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 5-8 years relevant human resources experience in a human resources business partner or related capacity with a demonstrated working knowledge in key Human Resources functions including performance management, compensation, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated agility and the ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Professional Designation in Human Resources and experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset.
