THE ROLE

A multi-faceted support role in the private equity funds space. A combination support role between operations support, management reporting, and investor relations.

• 30% fundraising publications (R&D)
• 40% management reporting
• 30% track records and fee projections

THE TASKS

Management Reporting

• Providing recommendations for improving financial and operational performance based on analysis of financial and non-financial data.
• Gathering financial and non-financial data from various sources such as accounting systems, sales reports, and customer feedback
• Collaborating with other departments such as finance, sales, and operations to ensure data is integrated and reflects the business context
• Ensuring data accuracy and completeness
• Preparing management reports such as dashboards, scorecards, and financial statements to communicate information in a clear and concise manner
• Analyzing data to identify trends and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning

THE EXPECTATIONS TIMELINE PREVIEW

By Month 3

• Worked with colleagues and manager to gain an overview the quarterly management reporting process from the various business groups such as AUM reporting.
• Established relationship with key stakeholders from accounting, investor reporting, and valuations as a resource for their inquiries related to Private Funds.
• Developed a baseline understanding of the interactions between various groups and how their performances are determined.

By Month 6

• In conjunction with branding, communications, and the investor reporting team, successfully assessed, identified, and executed fundraising publications opportunities to better position the company and brand.
• Achieved proficiency in end-to-end quarterly management reporting process with minimal adjustment notes from end users.
• Supported internal stakeholders via the preparation of analysis and presentations of their financial results and operational forecasts.

By Month 9 – 12

THE SKILL SET

• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Exposure to real estate investments, private equity, or asset management a plus.
• A designated accountant with at least 3 years of asset management or public accounting experience.
