As ATB's next Senior Director, you will be responsible for achieving business results in your market by coaching and providing direction to a professional team of ATB Business Solutions sales team members. You will have direct influence over the client and team member experience as well as establish connections with valued Partners, Stakeholders, and Advisors. You will lead the team in retaining/attracting core banking relationships that incorporate payments and cash management solutions, merchant services, liquidity products, trade finance and the cross selling of Wealth Management, Everyday Financial Services (EFS) business clients and ATB's Online FX platform.


You will directly impact the operations and revenue of ATB Business Solutions by providing direction to a team of sales team members in the area of digital and transactional banking. There is a responsibility for maintaining relationships with the Regional Leadership Team and Branch Managers to ensure smooth continuity of the business as well as the team member and client experience. In addition to achieving business results, you will ensure that risk mitigation and operational requirements are adhered to.


Senior Director Accountabilities


  • Plan, execute and measure by implementing sales and service strategies and initiatives to improve business performance.
  • Actively participate in internal and external events, promoting ATB Financial by supporting initiatives that are important to the success of Albertans.
  • Provide leadership to sales team members through appropriate goal setting and coaching to ensure revenue, profit and growth objectives are met. Energize the team to help understand the need for results.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the sales team, pertaining to the enhancement of the team member experience.
  • Create a unique client experience in retaining the current book of business and deepen the existing banking relationships with existing clients.
  • Actively demonstrate ATB's leadership qualities by influencing associates and partners to connect at a level which leverages their strengths.


Requirements


  • Ability to present complex issues effectively at all levels in the organization and effectively influence others
  • 10+ years of financial institution or related sales experience (preferably with a specific focus on business clients)
  • In-depth knowledge of treasury management, Payments Canada rules and investment vehicles
  • Clear articulation of individual value proposition with a sustained track record of generating new business and meeting growth targets
  • Undergraduate degree in business commerce, finance or equivalent
  • Proven ability to partner with clients to develop understanding of complex business issues and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships with executive leaders (Controllers, CEOs, CFOs, treasurers and business owners etc.) and ability to present effectively to boards and associations
  • Strong connector of people and ideas - able to build relationships naturally, align interests of broad stakeholders and provide effective oversight to deliver flawless execution of complex financial solutions
  • Completion of CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation is an asset
  • Ability to plan, design, develop and execute strategic financial solutions with experience in business-issue selling
